Pirate cakes coming off the paper!

HOpe you had a super happy weekend! I made this prototype of Mr. SheepCake! He didn’t turn out quite right proportionally speaking, his body is much bigger than it should be and his ears are not black (I forgot) so not too “sheepy” …You can however remove him from his ‘grassy’ base, which I love! I don’t love the dowels so much, but this is just a test run! Next time I am going to use wire & cover with the clay and I think it will look better…
I just want to make tons of these, I love that they are so BIG! He’s about 14 inches tall on his base! The thought of making a bunch of costumes for them makes me happy, but I’ve got to get rid of those dowels!!!
On another note, JIn and Earl are back on air with the 101 web design show (Here’s their site http://www.101webdesignshow.com/ but you can download on itunes)! They make me laugh, it’s nice to hear them again! ^_^

    Thank you ladies!
Lisa: it is also one of my very favorite things, (seeing the process of making things!) I loved picture picture on Mr. Rodgers! So, I’m glad I remembered to take pics of this! ^_^

Stephanie: Thanks! I am looking forward to the different outfits and characters as well! ^_^ oh, also! I actually did cook him in the oven (not the microwave :) My oven just looks like a microwave! ^_^

Michelle: I am not sure if these will be for sale, maybe someday, when I get the process down a little better, but not in cake shops, in my shop here! ^_^ He is called a Pirate-Cake b/c that is the name of these characters, he’s actually made of clay and Styrofoam) They were inspired by Mary’s stick drawings and they began as pirates, so, I called them ‘Pirate-Cakes’ like Mary’s nick name, ‘Mary-Cakes’!
